Rollie defied even the word, awesome. I agree with Billy Jaffe's repeated statement that he was the real reason why the Isles won that game. The Islanders had 9 shots in the first period, but mustered only 11 over the next two periods and the single, game-winner by Bailey in the OT. On the other hand, the Leafs had a 20 shot first, 15 shot second and a 23 shot third period with 3 more coming in the OT. I'm sorry, but as much as I am glad for the 2 points in the standings and a win is a win, but this left a bad taste in my mouth.

The trend of blowing leads has been troubling enough for me, but we were basically spanked offensively during the second and third periods. Without Rollie, that could have been an embarrassing disaster. Let us hope the boys tighten up quite a bit for the Flyer game tonight.

Happy turkey day to all, and besides giving thanks for all the good things and blessings we have, please take a moment to remember our heroes, both alive and the fallen, those who serve in our military. They have protected our freedom over the last 233 years, and we often forget the sacrifices they and their families have made for us. God bless them all.
