A loss in the Fansided Family

Eyes on Isles is part of a network of NHL and other sports blogs. For the most part, many of us have little to no interaction, though we all are aware that we are out there playing for the same team. For those who are not aware, Fansided is a group of great people, and folks who enjoy writing about their specific sport.

It was learned today that Susan Lee, the lead writer for our Daily Ducks Blog, passed away a few days ago. Apparently, she was hospitalized with an illness, and, sadly, lost her battle to it.

I did not have any personal contact with Susan, though I know she was a guest on our Rink side Rants podcast. I have read some of her posts, and she exemplified the quality and character of writers we are fortunate to have in our family. She certainly knew her stuff, and had a good sense of humor as well.

From Gary and I, our prayers and thoughts go out to her family and friends. She will be sorely missed among us, and our hearts surely go out to those who were close to her. If you read this humble blog, please remember her in your prayers and thoughts as well.
