On my way to the All-Star Game

Getting up at 3:01 AM is not the  best thing to do on a Sunday morning.

However, the destination of Ottawa is a lot of fun.

I am going to experience my third All Star Game today (I went to the one in Philly in 1990 and at MSG in 1994).  This one, from looking at the TV coverage has been outstanding.  I only saw part of the skills (the joy of a 3AM wake up call), but JT did a good job in the breakaway competition.  Patrick Kane and Corey Perry stole the show with their Superman and kiddie stick moves respectively.  JT stuck to the unbelievable stick movement and his family-based lacrosse skills.

I am looking forward to see on which line JT will be put on.  Early speculation is that he could be placed with the Sedin twins.  He may not get to play center, but in this kind of game, who cares.

I will post some pictures of the game on the site either tonight after the game or tomorrow.  I have a four hour lay-over in Dulles to come back home, so that will give me lots of time to ‘catch up’.

Enjoy your Sunday!
