Good morning from chilly ol’ Eastern Ontario, Canada! Although I’m sure it’ll be 90 degrees by the afternoon. The weather changes here more often then Jaromir Jagr does teams.

Ha.

Anyhoo, once again there is not much NHL news out there to be found. However, there’s an U18 World Junior tournament taking place in the Czech Republic and Slovakia as we speak! Both Canada and the United States have sent over teams and it will showcase some of the best junior players and prospects on both sides of the pond. Google the Memorial of Ivan Hlinka tournament for more information. It’s set to start off this Friday after a week of exhibition games.

The Vancouver Canucks brand new AHL affiliate, the Utica Comets, are busy building their roster and signing players. President and former NHL goaltender Robert Esche signed up 2011 Memorial Cup winning goaltender Mathieu Corbeil among others.

That’s a little bit of hockey news coming from my end of the world. Make sure you keep reading Eyes On Isles this week as the debut of the Clutterbuck Chronicles starts up on Wednesday! Also, the second edition of my Flashback Friday continues on!

TWO MINUTES FOR TWEETING

Oh god. Hey, that would be one helluva Movember campaign. Islanders should take note of this!

That’s not a bad thing my friend. Just means your friends are weird and they don’t know good taste when they see it.

Sigh. Still thinking about making the leap from sports writer to Ice Girl. Damn those outfits are small.

Not much longer now bud! Season’s right around the corner!

Give me a follow on Twitter folks, I promise I don’t bite. @MarchHockey
