The New York Islanders make their second, and final trip to the Consol Energy center tonight as they take on Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins.

All eyes once again will be on the two captains: Sidney Crosby and John Tavares. The two stars are in the midst of a points race. Crosby currently sits at the top of the League with 11 goals and 17 assists for 28 points, while John Tavares has 9 goals and 16 assists for 25 points. With the likely return of Thomas Vanek to the Islanders lineup tonight, all eyes will be on the Isles top to see if the chemistry can continue to grow and production capitalized on where it’s needed and expected the most.

In their last visit to Pittsburgh, the Islanders won in dramatic fashion when they overcame a 2-1 deficit heading into the third period, with Josh Bailey leaving his feet to sneak the game winning goal passed Jeff Zatkoff. Although the starting goaltenders have yet to be announced at the time this is published, the Penguins may be looking to Marc-Andre Fleury for the start in net. Regardless of who is in net, it will be the Islanders job to bring the same intensity they did on October 25th and continue the renewed rivalry.
