Florida Sunshine – and hockey

By Gary Harding

The boys are enjoying 80 degree afternoons.  I am sure that golf, fishing and other outdoor activites with the dads/mentors was the plan of the day today.

I am totally in touch with that emotion.

My mate Pete from the UK and I golfed this afternoon at the Marriott Grande Vista Golf Course.  My score was not the best, but I did get a PAR on a Par 4 hole.  I was excitied.

However, tomorrow – it is hockey day in Tampa, as the Islanders invade the St. Pete Times Forum.  With a great victory over the Maple Leafs in Toronto (and yes, Leaf fans – you were not ripped off – the goals were no goals), the Isles look to take two points from the Bolts.  Steven Stamkos is back to his tricks from last season, and they defeated an also previously unbeaten team in the Stars.

Josh Bailey, although not expected to play by most of the media, would be saying to most of them today that he feels that he can play tomorrow.  Hunter is also a possibility.  Time will be the judge of that question.

I will be at the game in a suite.  This is not my first game in a suite, but my first time in charge of one, and I can not wait.  I also want to thank Steve Beisel from the Islanders, and Steve Duffy from the Tampa Bay Lightning for helping me get this for myself, and my 16 friends and one spouse that will be there with me.  So if you are at the game, look up to suite 515 and say hi!

Prediction – Islanders 4 – Bolts 3.  I think an overtime goal by Matt Moulson will be the winner.

More reports, and I am sure John will give his two cents (and why would he not do something different) during the week.

Have a sunny day!  Oh – did I not tell you that the temperature got up to 86 today.
