13 is an unlucky for Mottau – Time to stop at 14

By Gary Harding

Robbie Schremp changed to 44 from that number 13.  Maybe there was a reason to.

The bad luck number has hit the Isles as the winless streak reached 13 on Sunday night.   With the Columbus Blue Jackets come to town tomorrow night – the Isles depleted defense is looking for more help, as they are with Mottau for a long period of time with the eye injury suffered from the slap shot of Eric Bogosian of the Thrashers.

Mottau is still in Georgia getting more tests on his eye.  So the Isles will look down I95 north, to summon another defensement from the Sound Tigers.  It most likely will get Travis Hamonic his NHL debut tomorrow, as the most likely callup, Dustin Kohn, is also out with an injury.

For those of you that dont know – 14 is my lucky number.  I was born on a 14th, my wife was born on a 14th, my first date with her was on a 14th, we were engaged on a 14th, and our anniversary is on Valentine’s Day.  Need I say any more.  The bad luck has to end for the 14th game.  Let’s hope we get it going against the Blue Jackets, and make this losing streak a thing of the past.
