Good morning Islanders nation! For us here in Canada, we are back to work on this Tuesday morning as yesterday was a holiday which paved the way for a glorious long weekend! I myself, did absolutely nothing and I happen to enjoy every minute of it. I’m currently watching a Tragically Hip concert at the moment….. How Canadian of me. I have an extra long weekend as I don’t go back to work until tomorrow. The joys of banking.

If anybody’s keeping track, the weather didn’t turn warm yesterday. Stayed chilly. Guess fall’s around the corner and that only means one thing. HOCKEY.

Speaking of hockey, the Phoenix Coyotes have officially been sold. More information in the link I will provide in the Case You Missed It section.

Team USA won their exhibition game against the Czech Republic at the 2013 Ivan Hlinka tournament. They’ll officially open it up against Sweden today. Team Canada won their first regulation game yesterday against the Czech Republic as well.

Also, can’t wrap this up without mentioning the suspension of A-Rod. Seems he’ll be suspended until 2014. Should be even longer. It’s too bad he won’t be able to play against the Dodgers and their hitting coach Mark McGuire. (Hopefully you’ll get the joke there.)

In Case You Missed It

> Team USA and the Ivan Hlinka Tournament (Western College Hockey/SB Nation)

> 10 Young NHLers who will turn into superstars (Bleacher Report)

> Colin MacDonald Hates Nabakov’s Music (LHH) (What….why?! hahaha)

> Canadian Hockey League to ban all import players? (March Hockey)

Holy smokes my friend. What a bargain. For the love of god don’t open it up.

Now there are some names that bring me back. Especially Malakhov.
Bring back the Patrick Divsion while we’re at it too.

That would be today. Somebody get me something.

That wraps it up for me! Keep reading Eyes on Isles and follow me on twitter. I don’t bite. Seriously. @MarchHockey
