Breaking news: Team USA has just announced their hockey roster for the Olympic Games held in Sochi, Russia in February. The roster was announced just minutes ago after the Winter Classic that took place between the Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs. Here is your Team USA for the upcoming Olympic Games:

Jonathan Quick

Ryan Miller

Jimmy Howard

Brooks Orpik

Ryan Suter

John Carlson

Justin Faulk

Paul Martin

Ryan McDonagh

Kevin Shattenkirk

David Backes

Dustin Brown

Ryan Callahan

Patrick Kane

Ryan Kesler

Joe Pavelski

Paul Stastny

T.J. Oshie

Max Pacioretty

Derek Stepan

Blake Wheeler

James van Riemsdyk

No Kyle Okposo on Team USA this year. While that in itself is a crying outrage, there’s nothing we can do about it. Hopefully, Okposo just continues to play hot and shake what should have been a trip to Sochi off. He’s played a terrific season, and he should continue.

With that being said, Team USA does look very strong coming into the Olympic Games. The Red, White, and Blue could very well pull off a gold medal, as they are a complete team with exceptional talent in all three aspects of the game.
