New York Islanders Tweets Of The Week

Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports
A rousing road win over the rival New York Rangers always puts Islanders nation in a good mood. Sometimes the victory is even sweeter when you awaken the next morning and realize it wasn’t a dream. It really happened.
Kevin Poulin, the fourth line and John Tavares willed New York to last night’s 5-3 victory and today we continue our look into the world of social media with tweets of the week, a regular staple here at Eyes On Isles.
It highlights the best and worst of what was an interesting week on the Island, with a difficult loss in Philadelphia followed up by an MLK day shootout win in the rematch, then the spirited win last night. What it all means is the the Islanders are now 7 points back of 3rd place in the Metropolitan division and 5 points back of the last wild card spot in the Eastern conference. With the teams ahead of the Islanders having games in hand (2 or 3 in most cases) it’s still an uphill battle but the grit and desire on this team has not wavered.
With that said, let’s dive in head first…

The real reason Torts was trying to get in the Flames locker room is because he heard they have pastrami #HungryTorts #ItaliansLovePastrami
