Welcome to New York Islanders GIFS of the Week, a weekly post dedicated to highlighting some of the best goals, saves, hits, and celebrations.

The Olympic break is over and GIFs of the Week have returned. The Isles played polar opposite games, with an exciting 5-4 overtime comeback win over the Toronto Maple Leafs then a 6-1 blowout loss against the New Jersey Devils on Saturday. A few young stars made their appearances again, with Mike Halmo joining the big club for the first time in his career.

Things aren’t looking too bright for the remainder of the 2013-14 Islanders, but let’s at least look at a few high points from the past week in New York Islanders hockey.
