Question 10: Outside of John Tavares, who will be the Islanders MVP this season?

Chris: Jaroslav Halak. I think he stays healthy and puts up a sub 2.30 GAA and better than a .920 save percentage. I don’t see him winning a Vezina but hey, stranger things have happened.

Kenny: I’m going to go WAY out of bounds here and say Griffin Reinhart will be the Islanders team MVP this season (aside from JT of course). I think Reinhart will step in, similar to how Calvin de Haan did last season, and have a huge year on the blueline for New York.

Kevin: Jaroslav Halak. If he stays healthy, I think he can take this team pretty far into the post-season.

Michael: Jaroslav Halak. The Isles defense hasn’t improved much this offseason and a lot is going to fall on the shoulders of Halak to keep them in games. The Isles should have enough goal scoring to win but the they are going to need Halak as much as anyone on the roster.
