Question 5: What team is your early Stanley Cup favorite?

Chris: Obviously the Islanders. KIDDING! I’d say Los Angeles is the favorite this year. Kept the team together for the most part and are the best and most well constructed team in the league.

Kenny: I would have to go with the Anaheim Ducks as the early favorite to win the cup. I absolutely love what they did in going out and getting Ryan Kesler and I think he will have a big year. The Ducks also made a move to go younger, counting on kids such as Devante Smith-Pelley(who I think will be an excellent player),Emerson Etem, and Rickard Rakell to produce. Obviously, the kids in net will make you a bit worried, but John Gibson will show us why he’s one of the top prospects in hockey.

Kevin: The L.A. Kings have to be the early favorite this year again. They haven’t lost anyone to free agency, and signed Gaborik to a long term deal. With all of those pieces still in place, they’re still my favorite to win it all.

Michael: It’s really tough to not say the Kings. They are stacked all over the place with goal scorers, two way forwards, a rock solid blue-line and arguably the best goalie in the NHL.
