It’s obviously no secret that the Islanders are moving from their current home in Uniondale to their new home in Brooklyn for the 2015-16 season. How important is their current success going to be in pulling the potential fans in Brooklyn towards being Islanders fans?
“Brooklyn loves a winner. Brooklyn is the only part of NYC that considers itself its own country. If the Islanders are good they will be embraced. So far the Islanders have executed their plan of attracting fans in their new home perfectly. Winning is all they could do and winning is all they have done. A long run in the playoffs would be a bonus. This team is built to win for a long time, so the fans in Brooklyn may be spoiled into hopping on board the blue and orange train.”
Well there they are, the musings of the GreenLanternJet. We want to thank Jeff profusely for his time and for the great interview. We hope you enjoyed reading it as much as we did. Here’s to the second half! Yes! Yes! Yes!
