Brad Boyes: One player that could help the Islanders is one who helped the team during their 2012-2013 playoff run. Florida Panthers winger Brad Boyes, who spent the 2012-2013 season playing alongside John Tavares and Matt Moulson, can potentially become a trade target for the team.

Boyes, who had 35 points in 48 games during his tenure with the Islanders, was a good fit with John Tavares and provided solid offense. Unlike Tlusty, Boyes is not an UFA at the end of the season. Boyes has a cap hit of $2.6 million which is low for a player who has 26 points in 51 games playing on a weak offensive team.

At 32, the one-time 40 goal scorer is still capable of performing at a high level and the fact that he is familiar with the Islanders organization certainly helps.
