Jaromir Jagr: With Maple Leafs forward Mike Santorelli being traded to the Nashville Predators, New Jersey Devils forward Jaromir Jagr may become one of the most coveted players on the trade market. Jagr, who is celebrating his 43rd birthday today, has not lost a step in his game, leading the Devils in points. With the team struggling, the Devils will certainly be looking to move the UFA before he reaches free agency.
One team that has been rumored to be in the market for Jagr is the Islanders. Jagr is said to want to be traded to a contender in the Eastern Conference, which would make the Islanders a logical landing spot. Jagr would not have to move far, and the NHL legend has the chance to win a Cup playing for a team that is in 1st place in the Metropolitan Division. A 3rd/4th round pick may get it done for the never aging Jagr.
