Quite simply, John Tavares is one of the top five hockey players in the world.

The kid has it all. He can skate, shoot (in all different varieties), pass on a dime, and possesses a vision and a hockey mind that rivals some of the greats of all-time.

He alone represents one of the bigger reasons this squad can hoist Lord Stanley’s Cup in a few months.

Tavares is currently sitting with 31 goals and 36 assists as he flirts with most points in the league.
