Trying to decide a fantasy draft of the Top 25 Islanders-Rangers is like attempting to choose your favorite early 1980’s Islanders team.

It’s impossible.

In this instance though, we decided to make youth and potential a critical factor.

Obviously, Tavares is the hands down number one choice. While Henrik Lundqvist is second, at 33-years old it could be argued he needs to slide down a bit.

The wild cards in the group are Strome, Hayes and Kreider. All three have immense potential.

For Rangers fans, seeing St. Louis and Dominic Moore not make the list could be a blow. Remember though, their age was a huge consideration, regardless of how valuable they are (especially in Moore’s case).
