John Tavares has been heating up at the right time for the New York Islanders.

After a carousal of linemates and a rocky start, Tavares ended up with a respectable 33 goals. It’s no secret that Tavres is the Islanders best weapon. He’s cemented himself as one of the premier players in the league.

If you stop Tavres you stop the Islanders from scoring. Tavares has 5 career playoff goals, and some clutch ones at that. Although his weak offensive showing in Game 7 yielded a lot of criticism, Tavares is poised to carry this Islanders team throughout a playoff season. Luckily for the Islanders he is hitting his stride at the perfect time.
