New York Islanders Draft: Who Do They Take?

Who did we Look at?
We didn’t just come up with names by putting pieces of paper in a hat and drawing at random. Although that does have a certain sense of enjoyment to it doesn’t it? Auston Matthews in the Orange and Blue sound good to any of you?
Instead, we looked at what insiders from TSN, Sportsnet, and The Hockey News put together. The insiders for these organizations have scouting reports for these prospects and have conducted mock drafts over the course of the season. Their mock drafts are highly respected across the industry and fairly accurate.
TSN’s Bob Mackenzie has the New York Islanders picking Julien Gauthier, RW from the Val-D’or Foreurs, Damien Cox from Sportsnet believes the Islanders will select Luke Kunin while The Hockey News’ Ryan Kennedy has Logan Stanley at #19.
All names reoccur consistently around where the Islanders pick at nineteen. But there is always the possibility that a name gets picked much earlier or that the Islanders themselves have their eye on perhaps a later pick.
Surprises are part of every draft, whether it be a shock trade or a pick that comes out of left field. As such we added our take on who the Islanders should draft.
