Logan Stanley

Age: 17
Size: 6’6”/209lbs
Position: D
Points: 17

If Julien Gauthier was big at 6’4”, than Logan Stanley is monolithic. The Kitchener, Ontario native stands at 6’6” and weighs 209lbs. And he’s only 17-years-old. He’s going to get bigger.

Stanley already uses his size to his advantage, playing an intensely physical game and intimidating game. The Windsor Spitfire is said to be a promising two-way defender, adding more depth to his play that simply a hulking bruiser on skates.

Last season, Stanely posted 17 points in only his second year with the Spitfires. At 17, his offensive game is surely going to improve. It’s his innate defensive skills that are placing him so high up the draft order.

Much like Gauthier, Stanley isn’t ready for the NHL. At 17-years, young Stanley has a lot of time on his side. He will likely play next year in the juniors with the Spitfire and play another year with the Islanders affiliate Bridgeport Sound Tigers before being called up to the big leagues.

Of course, this is all dependant on how Stanley develops as a player over those two years.
