Loui Eriksson

Position: Right Wing

Points: 63

Goals: 30

Loui Eriksson has much to offer the Islanders. He is a solid two-way forward that can score goals, play quality defense and is in the prime of his career.

His scoring ability would translate nicely with Tavares’ passing. Even his two-way style would be a solid replacement for Frans Nielsen if he decides to depart.

Eriksson regained his scoring prowess last year, something he had portrayed for years in Dallas but never transferred to Boston until last season. This comeback has shown that Eriksson can still produce like he once could, and also reinsures that investing in the swede can prove beneficial.

Unfortunately for the Isles, this comeback signals more pay for the winger, a road bump the Isles may have difficulty overcoming. Despite this, he would prove a valuable asset to the Isles; especially playing on the top line with Tavares.

His skill and scoring will undoubtedly add a needed finishing punch for New York. But, more importantly, he is a reasonable candidate to replace Okposo on the top line.

Give Loui top line minutes with the sauce-master John Tavares and we’ll be seeing top line production from the swede.

Next: Andrew Ladd
