New York Islanders Daily Links: Strome Has To Bounce Back

A look around the web at the most recent New York Islanders news. Make Eyes On Isles your go to website for all things Islanders.
Ryan Strome had a disappointing sophomore season after an impressive rookie campaign. It was a season full of inconsistency for Strome which led to him being sent down and then scratched in a few of the playoff games.
Alex Peck writes that it’s imperative for Strome to bounce back this year. With the departure of Frans Nielsen, Strome may have a chance to play his more natural position of center. The pressure of producing next to John Tavares will no longer be there.
Although now the pressure will be centering his own line. Garth Snow would then have Tavares, Nelson, Strome and Cizikas as his centers.
The one down side to this is taking away the Prince-Nelson-Strome line which showed flashes of being productive, use game one of the Lightning series as your example.
The Islanders are looking to build off of last year, they need their youth to take another step forward, this including Ryan Strome.
