A look around the web at the most recent New York Islanders news. Make Eyes On Isles your go to website for all things Islanders.

Another day, another possible location for the New York Islanders, this time, Belmont. That would bring the Islanders back to Nassau County. The new owners have talked to state officials to see if they could build a new arena there.

Robert Brodsky writes that this is in early stages and they are considering staying in an upgraded Barclays Center. The site has good parking and LIRR access so it would be good for whichever commute option you prefer.

Talking from the fan viewpoint I think it works out better for them. There is LIRR access and you could drive if you wanted which would bring back tailgating which just so happens to be my favorite pastime.

It still needs time to develop into a more stable plan before I get my hopes up too high but I like the idea.
