A look around the web at the most recent New York Islanders news. Make Eyes On Isles your go to website for all things Islanders.
The New York Islanders are always known for helping out the the youth, and being very charitable. Just look at what Matt Martin has done for the community over the last few years and it becomes very clear.
Robert Brodsky writes how the Islanders are nearing a deal with one of Long Island’s oldest youth hockey organization to continue playing at the team’s Eisenhower Park practice facility.
The Gulls Amateur Hockey Association was offered 25 hours of weekly ice time between Northwell Health Ice Center at Eisenhower Park and Iceworks in Syosset, both owned by the Islanders
It’s unclear if the Gulls are going to accept this offer. They were looking for 6 more hours between the two locations, although if a deal is not reached their season will be canceled. It comes down to kids wanting to skate, and I think the Islanders get a deal done before their season starts.
