Number 2: The Original’s

From 2008 to 2010 the Islanders returned to their roots as the alternate third jerseys. It was to pay homage to how the team looked in their dynasty days, and the fans ate it up.

At the time the Islanders wore a dark blue and orange, it had been that way since the very late 90’s, with some slight modifications along the way. This is the classic look.

My one critique of the look is the Islanders in script on the helmet. I like the logo on the helmet look that they have now better.

The only reason this isn’t number one is because it was an original jersey and became the regular home uniform again. Although the Islanders definitely got these looks right.
