New York Islanders Daily: Barclays Opt-Out After 3 Years

A look around the web at the most recent New York Islanders news. Make Eyes On Isles your go to website for all things Islanders.
Here we go again. Newsday reported that the New York Islanders can exercise an opt-out clause after three seasons at the Barclays Center.
Every so often we get a new story about the Islanders and the Barclays Center. It’s beginning to grow tiresome. It becomes an almost: “I’ll believe it when I see it” scenario.
Am I a big fan of the Barclays Center? No. Do I miss the ten minute drive to Nassau Coliseum? Absolutely. But, it gets to a point where I just want to worry about the team out there instead of all the extracurricular stuff.
I’m sure this won’t be the last opt-out story that we hear. Hockey is right around the corner, hopefully soon the story will be the on-ice product as opposed to the building they play in.
