New York Islanders Daily: After Cuts Roster Becomes More Clear

A look around the web at the most recent New York Islanders news. Make Eyes On Isles your go to website for all things Islanders.
The New York Islanders made some roster decisions narrowing it to 28 players. It needs to get to 23 by Tuesday. Here’s what has happened so far.
One of the more surprising moves was when the Islanders put Scott Mayfield on waivers. If he clears he’ll be in Bridgeport. When the Isles brought in Dennis Seidenberg it seemed clear that he would make the team in the 7th d-man role. Which meant Mayfield or Adam Pelech would be out of luck.
Josh Ho-Sang and Michael Dal Colle were sent to Bridgeport to no surprise. Both are talented first rounders, but still need more time to develop.

The question becomes who is next? Do they take a chance and put J.F. Berube on waivers or does someone like Alan Quine not make it? Only time will tell, you might consider it a good thing that the Islanders are having this much trouble narrowing the roster. It shows they have depth.
