New York Islanders Daily: Lightning Take Advantage On The Power Play

The New York Islanders lost to the Tampa Bay Lightning by a score of 4-1 last night. They have been outscored 6-2 in the season series.
One of the main issues for the New York Islanders this year has been staying out of the penalty box. They took six penalties in the game last night and the Lightning were able to take advantage.
The Lightning scored twice on the power play to jump out to an early two goal lead. That is almost identical to what happened the first time these two teams played.
It’s impossible to beat a team with such a strong power play if you can’t stay out of the box. The penalty kill has struggled for two weeks now, Jack Capuano again vented his frustration after the game.
Again it seems as if Capuano is throwing someone under the bus. In bad times a coach should put the blame on himself not pass it around to everyone and anyone but him. How can the team be held accountable when he doesn’t even hold himself accountable?
