New York Islanders Daily: Anthony Beauvillier Homecoming

Anthony Beauvillier impressed in his homecoming with a goal, as the New York Islanders beat the Montreal Canadiens by a score of 3-0.
Imagine being 19 years old and playing NHL hockey in your home city. That’s what Anthony Beauvillier was feeling last night as he made his Montreal debut. His debut was an impressive one.
Beauvillier scored to put the Isles on the board first beating Carey Price.

They showed Beauvillier’s parents after the goal and his dad had to wipe away the tears. That is one of those “this is why we watch sports” moments. During the first intermission, MSG played a clip of him talking about growing up a Canadiens fan.

He mentioned remembering when Carey Price was drafted by Montreal. He went from watching him get drafted to scoring against him in the NHL. Talk about a dream come true! Truly an amazing night for Beau and the Islanders who make it three in a row and 2-0 on the road trip so far.
