New York Islanders Prospect Josh Winquist Scores Insane Goal

Josh Winquist scored an insane goal for the New York Islanders AHL Team the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in their 2-1 win today.
Oh…my…God. Josh Winquist with one of the craziest goals you will see all year. The New York Islanders prospect danced with the puck between his legs and then while falling was somehow able to find the back of the net.
Now you’ve probably never heard of Josh Winquist before, which is fine, I’d be lying to you if I told you I knew much about him before this highlight reel type goal.

This is his third year in the AHL, and each year he’s played with a different team. His first year he was with the Oklahoma City Barons, the Bakersfield Condors last year and finally the Bridgeport Sound Tigers this year.
Winquist usually doesn’t have much of a knack for scoring. This year he’s got 10 goals already, which is a career high for him at the AHL level, his previous high was eight which he recorded each of the last two years.
As a journeyman AHL player, it’s not likely that we see him with the big club anytime soon. Unless of course there are injuries that bump him up that list.
This has been his most memorable moment to date. At 23 years old he certainly still has a chance to make it into the league eventually, but if not I wouldn’t mind watching this on repeat for the rest of my life.
Congrats to the Sound Tigers on the win who continue to stay hot, and of course to Josh Winquist as well. Hopefully, this lands him a spot on Sports Center tonight.
