Although the New York Islanders floundered at the trade deadline, the silver lining is that Josh Ho-Sang will play in his first game in the league.

After a call-up, a send down, and then finally a call back up Josh Ho-Sang will get a chance to go for the New York Islanders. It’s a small silver lining but it’s something that can lift Isles fans spirits.

Watching another deadline go by with Garth Snow not finding a trade is tough to take. The Isles have been relatively quiet at deadlines since taking over the team. Unfortunately for the Isles, they can’t really upgrade in the offseason because of contract situations.

Ideally, a trade would’ve been the best way to improve this team. I can’t express enough my distaste for the Islanders dormancy at the deadline. Although I will gladly talk up Josh Ho-Sang.

Ho-Sang is extremely talented, and Islanders fans should be excited to see him get a chance. He may have some baggage, fair or not, but there’s no denying his dynamic play. Good luck to Josh in his debut!

Can we please get Johnny Boychuk and Nick Leddy back together! Hamonic will be better suited in a different position says Jen.
