New York Islanders Daily: Preventing Losing Streaks

The New York Islanders have done a good job of preventing losing streaks since their mid-December turnaround.
Since mid-December the New York Islanders are 7-0-2 following a loss. This is a big part of the reason as to why they have managed to make up so much ground so quickly.
It seemed like in the beginning of the year the team would get in these ruts that they wouldn’t be able to break out of. When losses pile up you can quickly fall out of the mix of the playoff hunt, especially in a competitive division.

The Isles showed resiliency last night by coming back after being down a couple of goals. They certainly rose to the occasion after getting blown out their last time out.
Sure, a nine-game road trip can derail most teams, especially a team that struggles playing away from their own building. Although, to the surprise of some the Isles have played well besides that one clunker in Colombus.
The Islanders have to get right back at it tonight in Chicago, another tough task.
Isles Tweet Of The Day
Weight: "We came out in the third a confident club. We were nice enough to let them back in with some just really stupid mistakes."
