Like all the others on this list, Scatchard wasn’t a product of the Islanders, but rather a by-product of the trade system. Scatchard came to the organization by way of the Vancouver Canucks, in a trade that saw the Islanders ship Felix Potvin the other way.

But in his five seasons with the Islanders, Scatchard finished with a nice 53.9% faceoff win percentage. Never falling below 52.6% in any of those seasons.

HIs best season came in 1999-2000, with a 55.6%. The Islanders still couldn’t make the playoffs that season.

But two seasons later Scatchard and Peca were able to get the Isles to that playoffs after a seven-year absence.
