New York Islanders Daily: Andrew Ladd Honored In Calgary

The first year New York Islanders forward Andrew Ladd was honored in Calgary by his junior team for his service from 2003-2005.
While the New York Islanders are on their longest trip in team history Andrew Ladd was honored during their stop in Calgary. Ladd’s name and number was raised to the rafters as he received the “Forever a Hitmen” honor.
“I had my whole family there and to be able to reminisce with my billet family, who were a huge part of my life and my development there for two years, it was incredibly special.”

Ladd’s luckily been able to turn his season around for the New York Islanders. His contract seemed disastrous after a slow start, but like the rest of the team he picked up the play once the coaching switch was made.
Ladd played with Anaheim Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf during his time with the Hitman, Getzlaf was the first to have his number retired by the team earlier this year.
