New York Islanders NBCSN Messes Up With Arena Graphic

During last night’s NBCSN broadcast of the Carolina Hurricanes and the New York Islanders, there was a mess up with the arena graphic and twitter ate it up.
I usually hate when NBC has the New York Islanders. I never like the national games, the announcers are usually bland and boring, except Doc Emerick, and having to see Mike Millbury is never fun.
Last night they showed again why their broadcasts stink. Check out the arena graphic they were using during the third period.

Um hey NBC it’s been two years since the Islanders have played in Uniondale. It might be time to upgrade the graphics. It’s way too easy to avoid that mistake.

First off do the surroundings check. Is the scoreboard off center? Is the Honda in the corner? Is your view of the ice obstructed? If you answered yes to any of these questions you’re in Brooklyn, New York!
On the other hand, if you ate lunch at the Mariott before the game, did a few Let’s Go Islanders honks in your car on the way in and you can actually see all the banners that are supposed to be hanging up in the building then you’re in Uniondale, New York!
So if you’re reading this NBC next time you do an Isles broadcast just ask yourself these questions and that should help you if you get confused.

Maybe they know something we don’t, were they trying to subliminally tell us that the Islanders are going home next year? Stay woke.
