Seidenberg started the year on fire. By his twelfth game of the season, Seidenberg had already produced eight points!

But now with only eleven games remaining on the season, Seidenberg only has 20 points to his name. He’s looking leggy and a little out of place for the Isles at the moment. He’s looking every part of his 35 years.

The Isles shouldn’t sign him to another deal int he offseason. His roster spot should be kept for one of the young players the Islanders have in their system.

Scott Mayfield in a 5-6 role that Seidenberg has been occupying seems like a great fit.

But as well all know it, Garth Snow is likely going to dip into free agency again this year to acquire another aging defenseman.
