It’s March Madness season, so to get in on the fun Eyes on Isles has set out its own New York Islanders Sweet 16 bracket. And let our Twitter Followers decide.

We set out our New York Islanders sweet 16 into two distinct divisions. In this post, we’ll look over the Bill Torrey division.

On Monday night, Eyes on Isles expert Matt O’Leary tweeted out that bracket to our followers. Telling them to be on the look out for when voting opens the following day.

With the voting period open for 24 hours votes came pouring in for most candidates. Sorry, Bob Bourne with 1% of the votes you didn’t stand much of a chance.

It’s a general rule of thumb to not allow fans to vote on stuff via Social Media. You open yourself to Zemgus Girgenson at the All-Star Game. Or John Scott at the All-Star Game. Or a Royal Reseach Ship Boat called: “Boaty McBoat Face“.

There are very real possibilities this could have gone terribly wrong. Ken Morrow could have been voted as the Greatest Islanders player. Boy, would we have been red in the face.
