The New York Islanders got some bad news on Thursday as they found out that Ryan Strome broke his wrist in Wednesday’s game.

On Wednesday night Ryan Strome was forced to leave the game between the New York Islanders and New York Rangers. They found out yesterday that Strome suffered a broken wrist.

It says that Strome can miss anywhere from two to 16 weeks, which seems like a ridiculous timetable. Although, like Arthur Staple said, the Isles would have to go on a deep playoff run before we see Strome again.

Strome’s regular season comes to an end with 13 goals and a total of 30 points. It’s not fantastic but it is a 2 point increase from last year’s down year.

Turns out our man Mitch was spot on his with his Strome prediction. “Anything less than 30 points would be a disappointment for him.” Well how about 30 on the nose, pretty good eh?

Here’s to hoping that the Isles go on a deep run so we see Strome again. In all likelihood, we’ll see him next fall. Hopefully, he’s able to build off of this year and we see a better version of Strome in 2017-2018.
