The second round of voting is closed and the results are in for the fan vote on the greatest New York Islanders player Bracket Challenge. Eight entered and only two now remain in the Torrey Division.

With four out in the first round, two more have been eliminated from the Torrey division of the New York Islanders bracket challenge.

In the last round, Ken Morrow was taken out by Denis Potvin in a predictable but not as comprehensive result with 92% of the vote. Eight percent against a Hall of Fame, lifelong Islander is respectable Ken.

Then Bryan “Double Bird” Trottier took our Bob Bourne in yet another very predictable result. Though Bryan got 99% of the vote in this round. How does that parlay into his matchup against former teammate Denis Potvin?

Billy Smith, with a familiar stick to the knees, took out Pat Flatley in the Torrey Division’s third round matchup. No surprise here. You can’t in four Stanley Cups without a fantastic man between the pipes.

And then, in the final matchup, an upset, sorta, occurred. Pierre “I’m Super French” Turgeon knocked out contract holdout John Tonelli to move on to the next round! It was a close matchup with Turgeon emerging victorious with 54% of the vote.

The second round of matchups were set:

(1) Denis Potvin v. (2) Bryan Trottier

(3) Billy Smith v. (6) Pierre Turgeon
