Fans Don’t Like Him

They might like him as a person, but as a GM they certainly don’t. Isles fans have had enough. After 11 year it’s time for Garth Snow to go. And it’s fair to see where they’re coming from.

This fanbase has gone through a lot. A move from the team’s traditional home in Nassau. They’ve gone from the highs of cheering for a dynasty team in the 80’s to a train wreck just over a decade later.

All these fans want is a winner. A cup championship would be ideal, but a team that routinely competes for top honors in the regular season and the post-season would suffice.

We want something to be proud of.

Going from a second round appearance in last season’s playoffs to not making the cut at all – largely due to some poor roster construction decisions – doesn’t instill pride.

Who steps in at this point barely matters. If they have GM experience at the NHL level they’d immediately become a fan favorite. But just replacing Garth with anyone will do right now…Ok. Not Mike Millbury. Sorry.
