31. Rich Pilon (145 points)

Pilon was one of those heavy hitting defencemen, constantly marauding the ice for the next big hit. He played for the Islanders a total of twelve seasons and accumulating 60 points.

His most memorable moment as an Islander was likely the accident that resulted in Kevin Stevens needing a ton of stitches to his face.

32. Glenn Healy (140 points)

Healy spent a total of four seasons with the Islanders. Coming in as a free agent after playing three years with the Los Angeles Kings. In those four seasons Healy 176 games with a 0.890 SV% and 3.47 GAA.

Pushing the Islanders to the Eastern Conference Finals after beating both the Washington Capitals and Pittsburgh Penguins. Before eventually falling to the eventual cup champion Montréal Canadiens.

33. Ray Ferraro (126 points)

Ray Ferraro came to the Islanders in exchange for Doug Crossman. Crossman had just put up a 59 point season in 1990-91, but the Isles decided to sell high and acquire Ferraro from the Whalers.

Ray would play five seasons with the Islanders, netting 297 points in 316 games. Including an 80 point season in 1991-92 where the Isles. Ferraro would also net two significant playoff goals as the Isles pushed to the 1993 Eastern Conference finals.

34. Steve Thomas (125 points)

Name a single British-born hockey player? Don’t know? Well, now you do. Steve Thomas played in the NHL until he was 40. Playing for six different NHL clubs, with four of those on the Island thanks to a trade with the Blackhawks for Brent Sutter.

As an Islander, Steve Thomas had two of his most productive season. Scoring 87 and 75 points in 1992-93 and 1993-94 respectively. Another key piece in the Isles drive-for-five in the 90’s that was ended in the Conference Finals by Montréal.

35. Gord Lane (125 points)

How would the 1983-84 Stanley Cup finals have looked if Gord Lane was one the ice? Gord was not much for the putting up points. But he was an effective defensive and physical presence for the Islanders.

Without Lane, the Islanders fell to the Oilers in five games, who started their own “dynasty”. Winning five cups in seven seasons.
