New York Islanders Trade Targets for Every NHL Team

Columbus Blue Jackets
The Blue Jackets have a young core of incredibly talented players. We all saw it on full display this season as they put on quite a show winning 15 games in a row to essentially lock up playoff contention by the New Year.
There isn’t much that the Blue Jackets need aside from maybe a top line center and the Isles aren’t drowning in those at the moment.
But the Blue Jackets don’t have a ton of space to sign some of their free agents. That list includes RFA 22-year-old Alexandre Wennberg who scored 59 points last season and 40 the year before that. It also includes 23-year-old Josh Anderson who scored 29 points.
And with only $2.9 million left to the ceiling on this year’s cap figures that doesn’t leave any money for UFA and John Tavares’ buddy Sam Gagner. Gagner who scored 50 points, 18 of those on the power play. A second round just to get his negotiating rights is generous, considering Ben Bishop’s rights went for a third round.
