Detroit Red Wings

It’s tough to try and think of a player the Isles could use that finished near the bottom of the league in almost every statistical category.

Goals for (26th), goals against (26th again), power play (27th), shots for per game played (27th). You get where I’m going with this. There just isn’t much to desire here.

I don’t think Franzy is going to want to come back so he and his $5.25 million cap hit and no-move clause can stay put. But Thomas Tatar doesn’t have that sort of clause.

Detroit need puck moving defensemen, that are cheap, can score, and help out on the power play. That’s Ryan Pulock!

Trading him isn’t ideal. We’ve been waiting so long to see what he can do at the NHL level, but the Isles need to trade from a position of strength if they’re going to strengthen any other areas of the team.
