New York Islanders Trade Targets for Every NHL Team

Chicago Blackhawks
The Blackhawks are constantly in cap trouble. That’s what happens when two players make $10.5 million each. At the time of writing, they’re $4 million over the cap ceiling. Not good.
So like every other year the Hawks have to liquidate assets and take back young cheap players to fill out the rest of the lineup.
Unfortunately for Chicago, they have eight players with a no-move clause. Which limits who they can move around. I know Panarin doesn’t have that type of protection but it would seem absurd if Chicago trades their young Russian a year after winning the Calder Trophy and another 70+ point season.
Sure Chicago just resigned him to a two-year deal worth $2.8 million per year. But his production this season is something the Blackhawks have to capitalize on.
His 44 points in 82 games came out of nowhere. But then again, he spent most of the season on a line with Jonathan Toews. He also clears up a significant of the Blackhawks cap overage.
The Isles get a player that showed he can play at a higher level than was previously thought of him. In return, they send Chicago a prospect that has potential but didn’t live up to it this season in the AHL.
