New York Islanders: 2017 Contract Power Rankings

The New York Islanders, like most teams, have some decent contracts and some not so good ones too. Today we rank 24 of their current contracts.
Contracts and cap hits are always a major discussion, especially when it comes to the New York Islanders. I know this offseason especially it will be a topic of discussion as the team attempts to reload for a playoff run after missing out this past year.
The biggest offseason task for Garth Snow and company is extending John Tavares first and foremost. He will be on this list with his current contract, but take it for what it is because his cap hit is about to change, although his ranking may necessarily not change.
Everyone, for the most part, knows who will be at the top and which contracts will be towards the bottom (looking at you Mikhail Grabovski). It’s the middle tier guys that made this list interesting in my opinion.
So take a look for yourself as to who came where and as always if you disagree tell us on our Twitter or Facebook page. The number in the parenthesis is their 2017 cap figure.
