The New York Islanders could be sending Mikhail Grabovski and his $5 million cap hit to Vegas. Hold onto your hats kids Garth Snow may be cookin’.

Initially on Monday Garth Snow reported that part of the New York Islanders deal would include Nikolai Kulemin. I jumped for joy when I heard that, but our boy Arthur Staple began to get some more info and he updated his story.

That turned into the piece was unknown and then later on a third thing came out saying that Mikhail Grabovski is likely to be linked in this trade as well.

Sign me up for that! If the Islanders are able to rid themselves of a $5 million cap hit that is phenomenal work from Snow. If Snow intices Vegas to take Kulemin as well the Isles would be in excellent shape.

That would be two of their worst contracts coming off the books. Now that is worth giving up a fifteenth overall pick for. That’s a combined $9 million coming off the books for Garth to use on someone.

Add that to the additional cap space that was added this week and the Isles put themselves in a great position to make moves and acquire talent. Folks…it’s going to be a nail-biting few days in Isles land. Keep it locked to EOI for your latest Isles rumors.
