The New York Islanders acquired Jordan Eberle yesterday and it was safe to say Isles Twitter was rather pleased with the trade.

As I’m sure you know by now the New York Islanders traded for Jordan Eberle. The deal was Ryan Strome for Eberle straight up, a trade you make seven out of the seven days a week.

Strome burst onto the scene in 2015 but has taken a step back the last couple of years, while Eberle had a “down” year while putting up 51 points. Plus it’ll be fun watching him play with John Tavares.

Hopefully the Isles aren’t done, but here is how the Isles fans reacted to the trade news:

It sucks Strome never panned out for the Islanders and I certainly wish him the best in Edmonton. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if he actually plays well there, but the Isles won this trade. They got an established NHL scorer for a risk coming off two bad years in a row.
