No. 4: First Game in Pittsburgh 12/7/2017 @ Pittsburgh Penguins

There’s usually no love lost when these two teams meet. As an Isles fans, what’s worse than seeing hockey fans fond over Sidney Crosby as the best player in the world, is seeing the Penguins win back to back championships.

We know Sidney Crosby loves playing the Islanders. His 101 points in 58 games against the Islanders in his career show just how much he loves playing us. That ranks first in his split stats. The team that ranks second is the Flyers with 84 points in 59 games.

The Penguins are, like the Rangers, just so easy to hate. Michael Wilbon call the Penguins “whinners” every chance he gets. And I can’t agree more with the veteran ESPN personality.

Islanders-Penguins games are usually gritty and exciting. Everyone looks forward to the Tavares vs Crosby match-up. This game is the first of four which the Islanders have against their division rivals.
