No. 3 First Look at the Vegas Team 10/30/2017 vs Vegas Golden Knights

The 2017-18 season will see the addition of the Vegas Golden Knights to the Pacific Division of the Western Conference. On December 10th the New York Islanders get their first look at the newly assembled 31st NHL team.

The Vegas roster includes some familiar faces. Vegas selected Jean-Francois Berube in the expansion draft as part of a deal that none of us saw coming or even expected. The Islanders sent a couple of draft picks, Mikhail Grabovski and a defensive prospect to Vegas to have them make this selection.

Moreover, the Vegas roster also contains the former Isles first round pick in 2012 Griffin Reinhart who was traded to the Oilers for draft picks. The same picks that the Islanders used to draft Mathew Barzal and essentially Anthony Beauvillier through another trade.

Oh, they also have former Pittsburgh Penguin and three-time Stanley Cup winner Marc-Andre Fleury in nets. Flower is 23-10-6 all-time versus the Islanders.

Hopefully, a stint in Vegas will start turning the tides on that record. And it starts this December.
